Videos in Win 7 have started to get interference in them. Sounds like stuttering. Possibly HDD access but crackling like interference.
Only started two days or so ago, possibly after an update but not 100% sure. Any ideas?

Several times now.............
Video and audio? Does it happen at the same place each time you play the video or is it sporadic? Full screen and windowed? Are you playing the videos from disk or streaming?
There could be lots of variables, but I'd start by checking the following:
- Disk fragmentation
- Graphics and sound drivers up to date
- Colour depth and refresh rate set correctly for monitor
- Cables not loose (HDD, monitor, speakers)
- Microwaves or massive magnets sitting next to the PC 😉
