Need to get a handheld vacuum for car and shared stairs duty. The 18v Black and Decker deal I was meant to pick up today is apparently out of stock now, so I'm now on the prowl again for a decent one!

Anyone got any firsthand experience of one that they'd recommend?

(and I really can't warrant buying a Dyson, especially as they only have a 6-10 min run time)

As you've said, not the Dyson. We were given one as a gift, and to be frank, it's sh*t. The run time is absolutely appalling - needed charging 3 times just to clean out the car after taking some stuff to the tip.

I have one of these:

It is powerful as a handheld and really useful as an upright vac. It sits in a little gap between the fridge and the kitchen door and is great for picking bits up with out having to get the big vac out. They do a handheld only version also.

Can't find any reviews of the handheld specifically, but they seem to be the industrial daddios of vacuum cleaners... Worth a punt.

Thanks! 🙂
