future daughter in law is looking for a job on a evening, just a couple of nights a week, now that they are all lodging with us.
she is 18 and claims income support and tax credit.
how many hours per week can she work, or how much can she earn without it affecting her benefits.
doesn't she want a full-time job so she isn't on benefits?
Welcome to the benefit culture 🙂
she has no one to look after the baby through the day.
me, mrs and son all work full time, also her mum and dad.
she goes to collage 1 night a week and is looking to work 12 hours over 3 nights.
tribalchief - dont pretend that you wouldnt go for the option that gives you most money. Even if that wasn't full time work.
I'm not entirely sure but I think you can work up to 16 hours per week.
Good for her.
16 hours rings a bell here too.
Whatever happens, dealing with the tax credit people is a guaranteed pain in the arse 🙂
"You can claim Income Support if you work less than 16 hours a week. But Jobcentre Plus will take into account some of the amount you earn when they assess your claim for benefit. The amount they ignore will depend on your circumstances."
Good on her Tony the lass seems to be making an effort to better the future for her nipper - **** the Daily Wail Whiners - it is 16 hours.
Tribal I always had you down as having a bit of wit.
