A lot of these mtb videos have relatively unknown artists who may not be on Shazam. I have found a couple of great bands via mtb videos

Given the aggressive copyright infringement detection YouTube run, they can often be lesser known or public / Creative Commons licence.
Lot of stuff also on SoundCloud.
