[Closed] Ideas workshopping - scenetics?

I was out last night at a retirement do and the guy retiring was talking about "scenetics" [spelling?] using visualisation and scene transference to workshop problems.
I can't find out anything about this as it sounded interesting, has anyone any experience in this kind of thing? He's a very highly regarded civils/ structural engineer with specific skills in construction methodology and programming so fairly hard-edged. I'd just like to get some background about it before going back to him for more information.
