Please, say they are not.
they are not
Phew!!!
For a moment then I just kinda died.
Funnily enough, for bonfire night, we bought tickets to sail on 'The Sir Walter Scott', a wee pleasure steamer that pootles around Loch Katrine. Before the rather good fireworks display, the main entertainment was laid on by 'Callander's very own Shakin' Stevens impersonator! Didn't really listen to him, because we were in the bar drinking very reasonably priced single malts but I do remember he did belt out Green Door at one point. 😉
So Shakin Stevens must be a legend if he's got his own impersonator....or is it just an indictment of the central Trossachs?
😛
who's that knocking on it?

What a job - a tribute act to a tribute act.
He's a DJ nowadays.
Mainly plays rare 90's dance stuff.
He's very humble about it when people praise him, says it's just "this ole house" .
igmc.
You made that joke up, didn't you..
Let's just say I won't be putting it on twitter.
I do have *some* standards.
Rusty Spanner - MemberIt's about a brothel in Larnaca, if it makes you feel any better.
Like this forum needed any more 'shaky facts' than it has already 🙂
They played Shakey just after 7am on 6music this morning
Right, that's it - 6Music is gone from my life completely.
What's your problem with the Welsh Elvis? Oh Julie not good enough for ya? Eh? EH??
Well, he started hitting the charts around late 70s/early 80s when I was seriously getting into music. I was listening to Joy Division. Radio One was playing Shaky. This instilled a hatred that will last my lifetime. I don't expect you to understand. Not sure if I do myself.
Hasn't he got a rather good new album out? Heard it on the blues show on R2 IIRC.
It's probably worth listening to more than any other album currently on release. He's 68 too.
Save the Children should use that mug shot.

A Guardian article claims it's about a long-closed lesbian bar in London

I heard the story on the Danny Baker show, I think.
🙂
Great interview with his Royal Shakeyness too.
Some things are better left unsolved......
