"Now the world's largest diet study has come up with a solution: the most effective way of maintaining weight loss is to eat a high protein/low glycaemic index (GI) diet, with lots of lean meat, beans and low-fat dairy products and fewer foods high in refined starch such as white bread and white rice. Where do I get the fabled iDave diet?

Rubbish.

3 bowls of sugar puffs a day and shitloads of steady-state cardio.

Calories in versus calories out.

Blah blah blah

Loren Cordain.

I think it is a bit cheeky calling it "your" diet when others have been arguing the benefits of a very similar thing for years and years.

finbar, someone else started calling it the iDave diet after I gave some advice on here, then put it all on a pdf

it got quite a slagging from the STW all-knowing gurus

Ah, fairy nuff. It's good to see conventional wisdom catching up slowly anyway.

There, the i-Mat lifestyle plan.

SM - 'diet' as in what you eat, not what you eat for a short period of time

Mat - you missed an essential component of your lifestyle plan!

That's why mine is called a "lifestyle" plan rather than a diet.

Covers all bases see.

TSY - enlighten me...

Eat sensibly, exercise lots, don't diet, be Awesone

I've started following a similar lifestyle, I like to think it's working.

iDave's point accepted though. We're all on a diet of some sort. I don't control what I eat, I just don't eat junk food, crisps, chocolate etc...

iAwesome lifestyle plan faithful follower TSY.

Personally being a success story from iDave diet I would cut the evening carbs even lower so no pasta, spuds or rice.

TSY - of course! I almost forgot!

Hmmm - i-awesome or i-Mat? or maybe i-awesMat?

Saw that article in today's Indy. Any so called diet that puts a big red X on doughnuts isn't getting any attention from me...

In fact I'm going to buy doughnuts on my way home, and eat them. all of them, and I'm not sharing.

So there.

iDave if Surf-Mat and Apple teamed up we'd all have to give up a bit of our own Awesomeness to fund the Awesome that that'd require...

the most effective way of maintaining weight loss is to eat a high protein/low glycaemic index (GI) diet

Chocolate is low GI, as the fat slows absorption of the sugar

Sorted 😀

Remarkably restrained - I'd have been on giving the know-alls who quoted 'facts' to disprove your 'plan' major grief 😉

iDave.

Good for you !, I'm glad you've been proven not to have been sent to STW to offer advise which would see us all die (SFB).

Thanks for your help on this subject. Its one thing to just post
"low GI", but you went to the trouble of putting out the pdf.
😀

still lacking lights
Hhmmmm, thats not an excuse, is it....

Good stuff iDave 😉

EDIT:
How about " iMatAwesome "
