MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
For the HSBC online bank users here.
I don't use my account much on-line, but when I logged in earlier this evening I noticed this www.saas.hsbc.co.uk.
The SAAS bit has worried me a bit and was wondering if everyone else gets the same ?
Any thoughts ?.... or no sleep tonight 🙁
I just get hsbc.co.uk and for some reason it always sticks /1/2 on the end.
Logged on just now and at work earlier and don't get any saas stuff.
I'd be more worried if it was http://www.hsbc.saas.co.uk (for example) - that'd indicate you are logging into a website that doesn't belong to hsbc.
but http://www.saas.hsbc.co.uk is still an hsbc website. Because HSBC own hsbc.co.uk, they can 'name' their websites under that anything ( http://silly.name.hsbc.co.uk).
It's most likely that they've just updated their website.
I'm just getting the normal hsbc.co.uk
It's all to do with a switch of service isn't it? Saas stands for software as a service I think they're finally moving to a new platform their online banking software is crap. I think there's plenty of info on Google/twitter help etc
Searching for saas hsbc scam doesn't bring anything up and SaaS seems to be some kind of legitimate internet phrase
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_as_a_service
SaaS is software as a service. Who hosts the service should not affect the URL AFAIK.
Thanks everyone.
Drop me an email with your login details and I'll check it out for you.....
OK, perhaps you could add a few £££ 😉

It;s looking like some sort of migration on HSBC#s part.
Consider using their version of Trusteer Rapport, it only allows you to use the correct site
It can also be set to protect other sites that you log in to and protect passwords, e.g. Amazon, etc
Been getting that extended saas rather than /1/2 thing since the login screen gave alternative limited login without the code generator seems OK but a bit alarming - plenty of sales messages in inbox but none to expect this
Used rapport a few years ago and dumped it because impacted big time speed of everything on a PC that shouldn't have had a problem, deleted and all hunky dory - has it improved? Think NatWest keep saying should use as well and presume if have a problem will get a you didn't do what we suggested so your problemtype response
Funnily enough i noticed this last night too but would not be concerned. As above, *.hsbc.co.uk is fine.
