Just bought a tent off ebay, nearly new except that two of the galvanised steel poles are bent at a joining section (ie just where one part necks down to slide into the neigbouring tube).
Tent in question is a Wild Country Halo 4, its the steel bits that hold up the centre of the tent that are damaged.
So STW boffins:
WHATS THE BEST REPAIR METHOD?
Poles have work hardened near the kink and metal ruptured on the one that I bent back a little.
I have thought of using Alu bar and lots of epoxy, with maybe an outside sleeve fitted to be sure.
All ideas welcome. Ta.
I would get some more if you can as plan A - often not that expensive. call em.
Plan B - if its steel, get it welded and use a sleeve outside permanently.
