Estimating line, length and movement is clear enough, but how does the system work out bounce??

How does Hawk-eye judge height/bounce?
Quite well, if you're English 🙂
This is a good read, if one is interested in understanding how it all works...
My main issue/confusion was how it predicts the bounce of the ball; after watching the LBW appeal against Strauss' over and over again (courtesy of Channel 9 replays!) I had my doubts as to it's accuracy re. bounce and wondered just how it figures it out. Much clearer understanding now I've read the above doc, it seems pretty sound (even if the human eye and your own minds analysis says it's bloody wrong! 😉 )
