I either go for a walk to the shops with my mate, read STW or a mag.

Bloke next to me plays the Oreo biscuit game (the online one, not the soggy one!) Every day. For an hour. Weird.

I tend to just eat and get back to [s]STW[/s] work so that I can go home to my family sooner 🙂

I have a wander to get lunch, eat at my desk, and end up working most of my lunch break as I'll be the only one manning the phone/helpdesk. Still it's sunny(ish) and crisp here in Manc, and only 5 hours to go!

Roll on 6pm for post work drinkies and a weekend of biking!

Well this lunch I've spent it trying to recover a massive film edit after a the server being turned off made our mac go mental.

It's lovely when macs do everything automatically.

Crapola.

Fixed now though

I've just been out on my bike - contoured Dumyat, hammered down Witches Crag and finished with the switchbacks in Uni woods.
This circuit takes me 40 minutes - others take up to an hour.

And my commute home takes 15 minutes on the bike.

in my multi arts/sports complex, I have great intention to go swimming in the pool...but the number of "code browns" I hear over the radio puts me off somewhat. The library is much safer.

Today? Went skiing. Yesterday I went to a talk on Software Architecture 8)

Usually at the moment I seem to spend my time aimlessly surfing - when more healthy and motivated I'll either go for a run or a bike ride up the hills.

Why is it you simply have to put everything you vaguely like on the plate then sit down and realise that it really doesn't go together. I usually end up with pasta rice potatoes and bread just to make sure I've enough energy for the derig.

These days, given the paucity of work for people like me (no need to cry at the back), I tend to eat food in the canteen and read the paper for 20 minutes before going back to my desk.

In busier times, eating at any time of the day could be a challenge, and often involved shonky takeaways or scavenging for meeting room biscuits at 3am.

There's a reaon why all the corportae lawyers I know look 10 years older than they are, have little hair and run to fat....

Time to get out..!

Lunch break! There's always too much work that needs doing. Still, being surrounded by beautiful parkland at work I do occasionally give in to the temptation of walking down to the 'lake' or walking over a field to another building.

get the kelly kettle fired up, level out the land rover so I can put my mug on the dash, eat, drink, chat crap, possibly a snooze and then look at the chances of getting the kettle going again for another brew

roll on the sunny days when there is more time for snoozing as we aren't fussed for a hot drink

Go for a run.

Except in the summer when I don't run on Thursdays. My colleagues all go home. Being like a small child I have usually eaten all of my packed lunch by around 10am, tend to get a bit peckish in the afternoon.

Usually 40 min run followed by shower and quickly eat all my food before biking it home (short on long way) home depending how I am feeling. Lunch time is waste if you don't use it for something productive.
