What device? I struggle with imgur on android. It was fine on Windows phone.
Photo bucket is easiest for me on iPad and android. You want direct link.

It's really not difficult, I use Photobucket and Flickr, have done for years. I only struggle if the hosting site is tossing it's toys out of the pram, which does happen very occasionally.
Photobucket is possibly easiest of the two, you just tap on the link icon, (the chain) and it copies the whole link to the pasteboard then you just paste straight into the post text box on here, you don't need to use the IMG box above.
Honestly, piece of piss, even for a complete clot like me!
