My daughter has found all her Pokemon cards from about 20yrs ago. The current buzz seems to be that some of them are mow valuable.
Given that she is a single female who works shifts and lives some distance from me, whats the best way to get a decent valuation for them, and then to sell?
Auction sites seem like they are susceptible to people being untruthful and saying that the card received isnt the card sent etc.
She doesnt want random purchasers turning up at her house.
We are in N Wales, but happy to travel to Manchester/Chester/Liverpool to find somewhere trustworthy to value and sell them.
Does anyone have any ideas it experience?

There will be a comic book type store in any of those cities, they will probably give an idea. Or maybe look for a Facebook page for collectors and fans, see if they have any similar with evaluations. My eldest and her partner or into them, some can be quiet valuable.

Gets an offer of $200k from America. Turns it down. Buyer ups the offer to $300k. Turns it down, says the auction is going ahead. They went for half a million.

We are 'lucky' enough to have a dedicated Pokemon card shop in our tiny little town. My 12 yr old is obsessed.
I know nothing about cards but a little bit about comics, if they are in very very good condition look into getting them graded and encapsulated by CGC. Unless you have the rarest cards then collectors are really only interested in more common cards if they are graded 9.6 or 9.8.
I sold a load of magic cards through eBay. I was happy with the price I got.
I got £50 for a big folder of what I thought was junk.
3 cards in it were selling for £300 each a few years later.
Probably worth carefully checking eBay prices for each card.

There are apps that you can use to scan the cards and they’ll give you an indication of the price.
My daughter likes pokemon, mainly pogo but she does spend a little pocket money on cards. They are usually too be found strewn on the bedroom floor or discarded elsewhere about the house. I've told her, tomhoward's story..... doubt it'll make her clear them up but i live in hope.
