Mrs Beaker and I are about to sell our house and need to sort a HIP out. We've been quoted £345 by our solicitor which, when compared with a a quick trawl through the internet seems a bit high. I'm a little wary of a company that can offer such a cheap HIP. Can anyone recommend a cheap but reliable online HIP provider?

PS Does anyone want to buy a two bed house.....?

I'm a landlord and have had EPCs from these guys, who are honest, reliable, quick and cheap. They do HIPs too so maybe worth a call, though I've no idea where you are or how far they travel.

i'd see if i can get a deal with your estate agent, only pay when they have sold the house.
