Lots of internet security things won't let you access gmail/hotmail etc but will let you on forums.

Hi, not sure if I'll be posting much over the next few days as the internet connection is a bit **** here in Norwich. 😐
Hotmail and the like are available through the welfare computers no problems, the only reason not to have access to welfare phones and computers is if Op MINIMISE is on, i.e. somebody's been hurt and they're waiting for the family to be told. If so, it's a work computer he's using, in which case he won't be able to access Hotmail and the like, then he needs to get an ArmyNET account.
OMO - I did actually see that once in a married quarter window when I was based in Catterick. I steered well clear...
Tyres for Bastion - depends where you're riding but those 4" snow/sand tyres and a snow bike would be about right in some areas...! Otherwise, semi-slicks for the hardpack...
