Off for a weekend in Hebden next weekend, a lot of the recommendations on here seem to be a few years old so just wanted to see where we shouldn't miss when it comes to food & drink. Vocation & Drink are both high on the list at the moment, where else shouldn't we miss?

Also, having planned it as a MTB weekend, the majority going have now decided we should do road bikes instead! Cycle Calderdale site, Strava & Komoot have given some suggestions, but any recommendations for something around 50 miles & a shorter 20 miler?

For a shorter route Cragg Vale, drop to Littleborough, and back along the valley via Tod is pleasant. Cragg Vale doesn't tend to have much traffic on it. For a longer hilly route then head over towards Burnley via Widdop or The Long Causeway, head along the valley to Laneshawbridge, over the hill to Haworth before yet another hill to get back to Hebden bridge

The traffic it does have is dodgy higher up, lots of close passes as they try and get past before the oncoming car takes them out. They don't like slowing down.

This would be good for your shorter loop if you don't mind a little gravel track detour

The book is certainly worth buying
