MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
Im looking for a heart rate reader that can work with my HTC desire HD, i know there's one on the iphone but cant seem to find one that suports android,
any helpers???
have you tried entering 'heart rate' into the market search? that's what I did.
It's called.......wait for it......
'instant heart rate' and works off the flash (if that's the kind of thing you mean).....
I think it needs 2.2 to work, as mine didn't work until I had installed 2.2 - the 'flash' wouldn't come on.
i want one thats more acurate and i can use with a chest strap i already have, i want one gadget that does everything. so records where ive been, how fast, heart rate etc
Sounds like you want a Garmin...
This may help, I don't own any of them, and I'm not sure if I originally saw it on here or not, but this is what my research turned up when I was looking for something that would work with my HD:
http://www.sportstracklive.com
combined with either:
http://www.zephyr-technology.com/store/buy-now.html
or,

*edited to fix the last link*
Try endomondo

Which chest strap do you have? It's only likely to work with your phone if it is one of the bluetooth ones (which most are not).. the two mentioned by torsoinalake are the only ones I've seen..
I think some of the sony android handsets are ANT+ compatible, but i think that is a sony thing, not an android thing.
We've developed a product KNOWbody which runs on Android. Its a thin merino top (bike top) based on our Toro which has an integrated Zephyr harness. The app does HR, respiration, temp, speed distance etc plus can also be bundled with the Velocomputer bike power meter to record power data as well. Should/Might/Will be linked on the store at http://www.irule.co.nz if not there it will be soon. It's ace.
My tracks is a nice free program that now works with a heart rate monitor. more information found here. Other than that the zephyr seems like it might do the trick as well.
