I get really hungry in the morning. For breakfast I have fruit, yoghurt and nuts. When I get to my shop after riding in I have a slice of Marmite on toast with peanut butter.
Later on a cuppa and a few biscuits.
Yesterday I thought I would eat carrots and drink water. It was as if I hadn't eaten a thing. I ended up so hungry only a big packet up crisps would do the job. I seem to crave carbs.
So 2 questions was my hunger mental and as the title says what else can I eat? Please say malt loaf!

Seedless raisins. I have a pot by my desk that I snack on. £2.50 for a big bag from a supermarket, lasts me a couple of months.

Stick a bag of raisins (or anything) next to my desk and I'll finish it. Even if I'm not hungry

Malt loaf is correct - low fat, substantial and scrummy.

I love malt loaf, trouble is I prefer it with lots of real butter which probably doesn't help the OP's 'healthy' requirement!

If you are hungry then you need fats and proteins otherwise your blood sugar levels spike, you get an insulin response and you feel hungy again half an hour later.

Plus you will get fat around your belly and get type 2 diabetes*

*Not in every case of course, but you need to get away from the "fat is bad" myth.

You really need carbs:proteins:fats in some fancy ratio to maximise some shit or other. Or just have a pie...

I mean carrots and water? You need a slap, nevermind a snack.

Had a carrot and humus this morning and its worked a treat.
It was either that or the scrambled egg on toast.
