Me and my S/O are purchasing a ''stealth'' camper van. The bare bones of it a very good with a rock n roll bed, leisure battery powered by a solar panel and a basic kitchenette. Does anyone know of any camper conversion places in the NW of England that can potentially use the bare bones of what we have but make it a bit better/more user friendly? Looking to add a bit more storage, smarten up the kitchen. That sort of thing. Ta.

Have a word with Teahupoo vans in Rawtenstall, their conversions are superb. Might not be interested in doing a small job, but I'm sure they'll help you.

Thanks, yeh I did think that but even if they can help me source cupboards, drawers and other nifty camper stuff I'm happy to fit it myself.

I wonder if you will struggle to find a convertor that is happy to try and build/modify/match a non-standard/DIY interior.

One option you could have is to work out the second hand value of the furniture and offset it against the cost of a standard install.

Obviously the best and cheapest option is to muck in and do it yourself if you know which end to hold a saw 🙂

you will find most of teh pro converters to be brutally expensive.

my reccomendation is to use it for a bit and work out what you ACTUALLY need rather what you think you may like. be honest with what you actually need to take with you etc.

Having had and converted about 6 vans (of various types) i've taken out quite a bit of stuff i thought i'd like over the years. now i run a very minimalist setup in my lwb vivaro. basically as you describe is in yours.

I’m finding out why they’re brutally expensive. We’re building our own van at the moment and everything is at least twice the price that I feel it should be!
