Yes Muggo it doesn’t specify that it must be a £30 mask.

I ordered some eBay specials yesterday as a just in case £14 for 4.

Yes as you’ve got 10 days to get sorted after that then they could tell you to bugger off.

The Apple store were handing them out if you didn't have one (as you're only allowed in if you wear one).

yeah I'm expecting the likes of tesco and asda to follow suit, I was actually thinking about my slightly mad mother in rural norfolk who doesn't shop on line and if she did whe would probably forget it anyway.

Meh, grey Cubes are so 2010’s

@jimfrandisco

The masks you link say ‘dry in direct sunlight’. In the UK?

I want my purchase/s to support a good cause and I don’t want any sweatshop/non-bio-degradable nonsense* This virus is already set to be an environmental disaster. Don’t care a jot about the pattern/design.

Any good recommendations based on above criteria gratefully appreciated. Although fear my diligence/care at this point in history would be so miniscule a drop in the ocean (sic! sic! sic!) that it resembles a homeopathic tincture.

Yeah when the sun is up put them somewhere such as a window sill, probably not work as well at night.

I bought some from Buff, actual face masks that don't anchor on your ears, mine are big enough as it is without pulling the bloody things forward, I might take off!

My daughter has borrowed my mask, so I'll ask MrsF to make more as the others are flowery, and not 'my style'.

Planet-X seem to have had a delivery.

I ordered some of the Reg Mombasa designed ones about three weeks ago and have been playing CS tag ever since. Turns out the spare filters are delayed and they have no idea when they’ll be receiving them. I’ve asked that the post the masks and either cancel or ship the filters when they arrive. Still waiting for a response.
Edit - just heard back and the filters are due in with them this week.

I’m on the wrong side of the building so get no effective sunlight on window-sills

Would a hairdryer work?

I've seen a few videos of no-brand sweatshop style masks being made by hand on a dirty floor. So I'd be tempted to avoid any eBay "bargains".

Any face covering is acceptable - a scarf, a mask, a balaclava, a buff, or even her motorcycle helmet 😉

Shops here which are policing "at the door" usually have disposable mask available for a donation or will sell you one on the way in.

Malvern rider, its the sunlight provided bug killing UV that is why being recommended. A uv emitting hairdryer will do the job 🤔

You don't have to spend a fortune on buying masks online or in your local Boots - Check facebook for your local sewing group. Mrs NBT has been volunteering, sewing scrubs for NHS and care workers, but a lot of the other volunteers have been sewing re-usable facemasks. THey're not medical quality but they're fine for shopping trips. They're sold on by the group with disclaimees, asking for donations to cover the cost of fabric. Highly likely that such groups will exist close to you

Aldi had a pack of 10 disposable masks for under £3, worth getting a pack to leave some in car / pocket / backpack so I don't get caught out.

A friend of mine who has access to medical grade kit was telling me about some copper infused masks that the virus won't survive on overnight so can be reused next day without need for washing, I'll ask him to send me some.

Any recommendations for facemasks that are compatible with glasses? Fogging up is a real issue for us four eyes!

My Dad and mother in law have made us a few. I like the ones my dad made as the straps go round the back of your head rather than over the ears so you don;t end up looking like pob!

Or theres these from Decathlon for when you're on holiday!!

@muttley109 - the OH bought one of the buff facemasks but it's not really big enough for him (beard and big head!)

I'm currently upscaling a version of this for him
