I walked the WHW last year and loved it so looking at new routes. Has anyone walked the Snowdonia Slate Trail?

I'm based in Shropshire so this is pretty close and the logistics would be quite easy.

I've done bits of it. Loads of history and plenty of diversions for messing around in the old quarries. It's pretty easy walking but less popular so a good option. Pick some sunny weather, though.

Walked a bit of the section between Bethesda and Dinorwig at new year. The quarries around Dinorwig are spooky.
