one of the halegen bulbs keeps on blowing in our kitchen. Can you tell me why one should go, but not the others?

Is there anything I can do to stop this?

It's very often the lamp holder. Youb say halogen, is it low voltage?

OK
Are these reccessed lights?
Low voltage lamps have two rigid wires that push into the lampholder. Some lampholders only have a foil section covering the ceramic holder itself. What happens if you are clumsy fitting the lamps into this type is that the holes can expand. Often people say it's the transformer (which it could be) but often it's the lampholder.
