We will be in touch
Anyone else had this? had a couple of games last week where the team deathmatched started - t'was a bit odd cos there was someones url / website at the top of the screen (couldn't read it as it was cut off at the top). As soon as the game started, everyone on my team died and the other teams score went straight up to 400 points. Had to come out of the game lobby several time to get things back to normal.
Kind of expect this sort of thing from PCs but not consoles.
Seen my first speed hack on Black Ops last night the rest of reported him and a couple of minutes later he was gone. So sad when people have to cheat on video games.
I have had the same on a number of games. I start and the only weapon i have is the riot shield.
MAKES ME MAD!
From the title I understood 'hacked' and 'on the'.... I must be getting old! 😥
Yes, can't see the point of cheating like this when it's so obvious to everyone else what it is that you're doing.

What pleasure do people actually get from cheating?
I've watched a bloke put 3 pool balls down the pockets when his opponent wasn't looking and wondered what pleasure he actually gets from winning?
Is it possible to get a virus on the PS3 (Playstation 3 🙂 )
Winning a bet?
Haze, no I don't think there was any money on it - in fact he's known for doing it. Doesn't make sense to me.
No virus on the PS3, but the security keys have been discovered...
means in theory you can rip and play any game in the future for free, or sony have to lock all previously sold games. Interesting quandary.
Boarderlands suffers with people having hacked weapons a lot... although it inadvertently got me a coupla trophies.
They keep ontop of the security issue with patching though keeps the freeloaders at bay.
The problem is (as I understand it) that the on board security key, that is hard coded into one of the chips isn't secure any more. Each piece of software is signed with an encryption key which is checked with the hard coded key so that the software can run. Sony should have used a random number as part of the software encryption but they didn't they used a number that was constant. Hackers were able to work out the value of the hard coded key by looking just 2 signed software files
Now the key is out in the open, anyone could, in theory use it to sign any piece of software they want to run on the PS3. This includes updated homebrew firmwares that circumvent any patches Sony put in place. There's not much that Sony can actually do to fix the problem. They could re-do the hardware key in new consoles, but that wouldn't stop the problem with existing units already sold which then wouldn't be able to run new software relying on the new key.
It seems Sonys current solution is to start putting a serial number in each game box, much like on the PC that you have to put in before you can use the game. This could also mean an end to the 2nd hand games market for the PS3 too, as Sony don't make any money from this it wouldn't be difficult to lock a particular game serial key to a particular hardware id.
It is a real shame that it will ultimately affect the vast majority of law abiding system users, and certainly will have damaged the future of the PS3.

Thanks and still non the wiser,! Do you think you could get the font a bit bigger next time? I've just spent the last 3 hours squinting.....
Had some idiot on Black Ops recently that 'couldn't die' - however much you shot him he just kept coming. He got bored and left after much abuse...
