I like Groves as he shut up De Gale.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him do it.

I liked Groves before the build up to this, but he's come across as a right pillock.
Despite that, Froch will take him out before half the rounds are done.

I like groves, doesn't seem to give a **** if he upsets Froch.

but, I suspect there is a gulf in boxing ability. Froch should put him down in under 10 rounds, if he keeps his cool

Seems to me like he's trying rather too hard to upset Froch. And its not really working.
I'll be amazed if he can hurt Froch after Kessler, Pascal etc haven't troubled him.
Ya never knows with boxing though eh? 🙂

Groves is going to look a bit daft if he doesn't carry out the game plan he's arrogantly told all and sundry about, to the letter. Froch's game plan is to 'flatten him'. Froch is 8th.

Froch. End of. I didn't like him a few years ago when he was bad mouthing calzaghe but the more I've seen of him the more I admire him. He carries himself well and is quite down to earth and not overly arrogant. Plus he will fight anyone and has a granite chin. He'll have way too much for groves who hasn't fought a top class warrior as Froch is.

Great week for boxing too. Pacman vs Rios also. Manny needs a big win.

Groves seems to train himself these days too. Without Adam Booth in the corner he isn't going to know what to do when he's struggling. Taking on Froch in only his 20th fight is nuts.
Still, you never know...

Don't like Froch, he thinks hes way better than he is, constantly rattling on about being a warrior, being in the trenches etc etc. Lucky against Dirrell, outboxed for 11 rounds against a past it Taylor who predictably gassed, and given the run around by the only pfp fighter hes been in with. Hes good, but nothing special in the grand scheme of things.

Struggling to see why hes getting wound up by groves, trash talk is part of the business. They'll be best chums by the end of the night I suspect.

As for the result, Froch walks through him like he did against Bute. Probably in the first 6 rounds. Only way Groves stays upright is to get on his bike, and I can't see him doing that for 12 rounds.
