On the other hand I can't form my own opinions and need people to tell me if I should like stuff or not, I can't take anything at face value and just enjoy it...

It's a great idea. It covers all the TV highlights that week and the reactions of a cross section of the population in one hour. What else do you need to watch?

Gogglebox is a bit of a guilty pleasure, and I genuinely enjoy watching peoples varying reactions to something. The Basic Instinct episode was hilarious.
It also provided the following exchange between me and MrsMC while we were watching it one night:
