Managed to scrape my gate post this morning (in fairness it is 4ft tall chunk of white painted stone and the car has parking sensors that were bleeping like crazy, so I am hardly to blame 🙄 ). The paintwork is OK, but the unpainted dark grey plastic bumper is a bit of a mess. It there anyway of sanding the scuff out or will that just make it look worse?
Regards,
Stupid of Manchester.
Fill it with this, and sand it down?
pictures 🙄
The careful application of a heat gun may re-texture the plastic but photo's would help to see if this would be possible
Use a filler then paint it with bumper texture paint.
Do the black plastic with bolied linseed oil when you've finished.
Brings it up like new, lasts, cheap.
Got to do my rear bumper as well.
Who builds a wall just a foot high?
Ace. My van bumpers are particularly grey, and the silicon based polishes don't last.Do the black plastic with bolied linseed oil when you've finished.

Only 'cos I'd just read the story and WTF'd the 'verdict/cost' - when I'm sure I'm not the only who's caught a bumper while parking.
