Gas or induction hob?

Looking at the photo it has 14 power settings, plus boost.

I saw that as 10 settings (1-10) and Boost which was 14 for some reason.  Why isn't there 11, 12 & 13??

Regardless that's not enough for me - YMMV obvs.

Also you can slide or touch the individual power

Sounds fiddly but may well be fine.

[which is why I took a bit of a risk and bought a used hob for the other place..... more features for less money]

I’ve stayed in a couple of holiday places that had the touch controls, they were terrible.

They vary from unusable to quite good IME. Our Siemens hob is fine, there is a slider which is much quicker than cycling through each power level.

If you do get one, Barkeepers Friend is awesome for getting marks off them.

I have some nasty marks that I'd like to shift - when I Google Barkeepers Friend there are loads of individual products under that brand - which is that I need?
