Forza Horizon 3.
A great laugh if you enjoy a bit of driving not as stuffy or sim focussed as Forza 6
Star Wars Battlefront if you want to do some online stuff
Don't whatever you do buy Dark Souls III or XCOM2 they will ruin your life!
Agree with Forza Horizon 3.

I found the Call of Duty games pretty good for an occasional dip into, the checkpoints are usually close enough you can stop and save.
Most of teh ones I like are long weekend games though.
If you get XBox Live Gold - don't forget the free games each month. As long as you have the Gold Sub the game is yours.
I'm enjoying playing ssx and skate 3 as they are backwards compatible.

Occasionally get lucky and end up in an online isetta or reliant robin race.
I'm enjoying FH3 at the moment also.
The Lego games are good for two-player co-op if you want to get a partner involved.
Knowing what style of game you like would be handy.
