So, in the spirit of getting to know your colleagues/co-workers, we've been doing a once-per-month Fun Friday where we play games via Zoom.

Each month, a different group are assigned to "organize" the "fun" and it's my turn (again)

Thing is, we've been doing this for way over a year now and my team is running out of inspiration.

We've done virtual bingo, jeopardy, Pictionary type games. I've Googled for inspiration but nothing's grabbing me.

Workforce age is from (I guess) 20yr old student coops to near 60yr curmudgeons like me, multiple nationalities (minority Brits like me) in multiple different timezones.

Any ideas? Sadly, no NSFW stuff, much as though that would be my preference 😉

Bonus points for games which require minimal organizational skills or effort...

Oh yeah, could be up to ~30 people playing. Anything too complex will be like herding cats...

I imagine everybody dreads "Fun Friday".......getting to know everyone for over a year with games of Bingo on Zoom...........

How about you don't organise anything. Trust me, everyone will appreciate it. You'll be known as the greatest "Fun fridayer" ever.

Name that smell (shift change edition)

Pin the blame on the engineer (management only)

Musical desks (last one to sit down is laid off)

Payrise roulette (there's a 1/6 chance your manager hates you)

Strip poker (work drinks edition)

Software update Jenga (does the whole network collapse?)

Login time "Would I Lie To You"

And everybodies favourite

Zoom BunnyRabbits (hold your 2 hands up by your head as "ears", take a hand away. The person onscreen next to the remaining hand needs to show both ears/hands, and the person beyond them shows the adjacent ear/hand). Take a shot of coffee each time you mess up, the last person to NOT have heart palpatations gets the chair by the window with actual natural light for the rest of the year)

Someone has suggested gather.town at our place. We have a demo today but you can see what it's about on the website.

That would be my choice. However, we have a high turnover so plenty of new faces (three new people joined last week) so boss is keen on keeping momentum...

However, we have a high turnover

Maybe Fun Friday is the reason for the high turnover...........;)

Anyway good luck with whatever you find to do. I do not envy you.
