We will be in touch
I'm buying a house in France and wondered if anyone had a good recommendation for a French mortgage broker. I have found a few on Google but would would be preferable to see if there are any recommended.
Thanks
If you have a bank account the first place to ask is your bank, then another bank, then another bank... .
I've never borrowed to buy a house here, by the time I was credit worthy enough to borrow I had enough in the bank to pay for the house.
Edit: it's not really a recommendation but I've been happily banking with Credit Lyonnais for over 20 years. LCL belongs to Credit Agricole, the bank that owns far too much Greek debt. I've spread the risk by banking with Alliance (German) and La Poste (the state) too.
why use a broker we went direct to BNP Pariba for our pad
We used a uk bank that has French branches (and obviously did French mortgages) - our contacts in the uk were French so could act as inbetweens when needed. Lloyds, HSBC etc etc all have French divisions.
