We will be in touch
just bought an S Works Enduro 2005 frame with a fox dhx 5.0 shock.
got it for £300
ive only got a 140mm pike 409 upfront..
is the bike going to be really strange to ride with not mega long travel up front??
cant really afford a new front shock at the minute.
No you will be fine, originally set up to run with fox 36 150mm
We have 3 and have 140mm Revs on one, 160mm Lyriks on one and 160mm on
one.

What she said. Rear travel is what matters, not shock type.
so having shorter travel on the front is ok then??the frame was intended to have 160mm??
The Enduro was originally built around a 150mm fork, in fact the original Fox 36 when it was first launched. This is the model you have. The amount of travel is less relevant than the total height of the fork (which is related to the amount of travel but some forks can be much taller for the same amount of travel) as it is the height of the fork that will change the geometry of the bike.
You might 'feel' the difference between your bike with a 160mm fork and a 140mm fork in terms of how the bike handles, but it's unlikely to cause you a problem.
Besides, the fork is a Pike, which is an excellent fork and more than a good match for the Enduro.
You've got an all time classic bike there; have fun and look after it.
