...we are having a supposedly unavoidable 2 weeks in Florida this year and I wondered if anyone could recommend a villa rental company for a stay in or near Orlando?
"unavoidable"?
How many people? We've had good luck using VRBO and cyberrentals, can point you at the villas we've used, biggish places to sleep 10+ though. The places near the junction of 192 and 27 are handy for Disney, and usually well priced, mainly new builds or under 10 years old so nice spec. Google Hampton Lakes, Davenport Lakes rentals and you'll get the idea.
I always said i wanted to avoid the place...
Now returning for the 5th time in 3 years ๐ฏ and are going again in 11 days.
Have a look at this place, owned by a family friend.

i didnt want to go to florida in any form or shape, but my wife wanted to go so much, so i gave in, we had two weeks and i have to say i enjoyed every minute, just hire a car and travel around.
If travelling with Kids stay at the Animal Kingdom spent 2 weeks in 09 must say best holiday we have had in a long time and we go every other year. Little ones love going to balcony with animals there every morning normally Giraffes worth every penny.
Thanks everyone for this lot. Sounds like I should enjoy it after all!
Always seems a shame to me to go to Florida when there are so many other amazing places in the USA ๐
So what's the biking there like then?
flat.
If you want a break from it all I can recommend Winter Park, a lovely wee town a few miles from Orlando- a really lovely old town- really good restaurants, nice shops, farmers market, lovely old houses etc etc.
