has anyone ridden around this area, or know what it is like terrain, suitable/tyres/bike etc

No, but i can see it from my brother in law's bathroom window in Normanby! 🙂 Looks like a big hill to be honest and not that big an area?? Guisborough or the North Yorks moors look a better bet to me! Might take my bike next time i'm up there though and have a butchers!
