Hi I have inherited a phillips laptop which works fine except a couple of keys dont work (No1, tab and Q) I have popped the keys off and all looks clean, any other ideas?
(I have used the onscreen keyboard to check its not a software thing)
Thanks

Not got personnal experience of a phillips laptop but the majority of cases that I've come in to contact with, you replace the whole keyboard unit. It'll unscrew or unclip and then have a simple ribbon connector (maybe a second set of wire for the button mouse) it not usually a difficult job, in most cases the difficulty is getting hold of a replacement keyboard, if it's not a current model.
I'm unaware of Phillips making laptops, so I'd imagine it could be a rebranded unit, which if you can locate that 'brand' it'll be easier to find the spares.
Cheers Z1ppy, i'll have a look
I lost a few keys on one, a new one from the 'bay was £15 and a 10 min job to fix.
