This forum seems to be able to fix anything so here goes.
I've got an old (8 years 'ish) Bose surround sound system and the bass box doesn't seem to be playing ball (ie no sound at all) after I whacked up the volume last week. The construction of the box doesn't seem to encourage home tinkering but does anyone know of common problems with these that I could have a look at?
I'd be checking the drive unit and then PCB, and/or googling for known problems.
(I fixed a £80 ipod base unit with a 50p capacitor after latter.)
Thanks for the reply. Being an electronics numpty, I presume damage to these parts will be pretty self evident as I didn't get a whiff of burning at all when it went.
it's a BOSE and more than likely fiendishly difficult to access anything of any use, even their pro stuff requires the hands of a small chinese child and an intricate knowledge of the labyrinthine interiors to repair
