nice little viewer app.
pity no zoom though.

Site would be vastly improved if you removed all those photos of the Gopping-Bike obviously 🙂

Cheers Stoner but are you sure you're looking at the right website? Your bike shouldn't be in there 🙂

very nice, clean and tidy, I like the simpleviewer!

but, and its a very very important but...

there is no contact information!!! you need at least an email address!

yep, checked again, no contact details!

I'd suggest putting at least an email address (with mailto:) link, and make sure its on every page, down the bottom perhaps, where the copyright is?

have you considered the creative commons licenses? I've got it slapped on my website: www.mrnutt.com

🙂

Very nice!

Easy to navigate, good pictures.

If you're doing it as a business it would be good to know how to contact you, otherwise my only comments are that the 'Bikes and Cycling' link breaks to a new line when you are viewing another set and that you can't view a large version of any of the pictures. Very small points, though...

The contact page is being worked on. There won't be an email addy, its a page where you write a note etc.

Thanks for taking the time to look and write your thoughts.

First off, some great photographs, really like the one of the road race which you took in the middle of the road/back of the marshal.

Only very small points:

On the main page the wording "Outdoors" looks bold compared to the rest of the text(Firefox).

I would have limited the number of pic you can view, say to six of your best images per link.

Apart from that nice work

🙂

I always prefer an email address (just personal preference, I guess) to a contact form. Both is better...

The font on the homepage for bikes and cycling is in bold for some reason. And the font in the top left corner with the title appears to be pixelated/not smooth.

Not sure i like the way the navigation changes from the left side to the top when you click on Events or Bikes and cyclying etc, think it'd be better all along the top.

The black background changes size to adjust to differnt pages, maybe better if it was constant size? Dunno on that one, or if you can do it.

But apart from that, good!

Hmmm! Bit clumsy and unprofessional looking I'd say.

Looking good Sheldon...couple of things

Main navigation

I'd like to see the main navigation prominent on all the pages (at the top preferably with the images to supplement. (at the moment they are in 2 places)

It's slightly confusing that if you select the links at the top they change to another gallery (e.g I select 'events' and then the link changes to 'outdoors'

Nice site Sheldon, I like the way that you can scroll through the enlarged photos using the trackpad, without clicking on each one in the previews (if that makes sense). Did you code it yourself?

I'm not sure of the purpose of this website, but if it's to try and pull in some work, (or to sell a few more calendars...) then I'd suggest firstly, that you've too many pictures there - limit yourself to 9-12 in each category and be ruthless in selecting them - there's a few in there with blown highlights, or that are a bit soft or out of focus etc- pick only the very best- and secondly they need to be displayed at a larger resolution than they currently are to make the best impact.
If it's not intended for any commercial purpose then I think these comments don't really apply.

The back button also moves around on the screen when the orientation of the photo changes, using Firefox anyway.

Think I have worked out what is going on with the bold text.

If you click on one of the links, when you go back to the home page it drops the bold font on the link you have just visited.

Didn't code it myself a friend of mine did it all for me.

All the comments above don't show up on my PC (Firefox) so thanks for that I'll look into them
Not really fused about getting work from it, its purely there for the sake of it! Just because I could and I have too many shots on Flickr.

Well if you aren't looking for work from it it's fine! (Would be nice to be able to view larger versions of the pics though).

Drac is being harsh: he doesn't say why he thinks what he does...

Julian all of the pics are on my Flickr site, although I'm not sure size they can be seen at on there! Maybe if I was to sell some then I could sell the original files 🙂

Drac? Yeah well everyone has an opinion whether we all agree or not is another thing!

One question - what is the purpose of the site?

If it is to generate business you need to make it stand out a bit more. Using a basic iWeb template or similar isn't really the best way to do it.

What would I do?

I'd write a wee description of each photo.
Go for a less generic format.
Add in some info about myself.

I like it, it's nice and simple and I was enjoying the photos immediately.

Those spaniel shots are surely some of the best dog pics ever! I smile every time I see them so thanks for sharing 🙂

No I like Sheldona was saying was expressing an opinion but after I posted he said it wasn't intended to be a pro site.
