The Cure's cover of Love will tear us apart is flipin top banana

ultraviolence's hardcore gaba techno version of sabbaths paranoid is great

but my favorite covers are

Cradle of filth covering Clif Richards "devil woman"

and

the murderdolls cover of "white wedding"

Oh hang on Victoria - The Fall

That's a good call.

I like that Schneider TM track too, and Galaxie 500's cover of Ceremony by Joy Division.

But for me it has to be Speeding Motorcyle by The Pastels. Originally by Daniel Johnston.

And while searching for it I found [url=

beautiful version by Yo La Tengo as well.

I find this haunting; but that may be due to the end of year show from my eldest daughter's dance school. Two of the senior students danced to this and there wasn't a dry eye in the place with the way they interpreted it (except mine, of course, because I don't cry, ever, honest)

And slightly more fun

Listen through for the classic guitar break at about 2:20.

and:

Both from the seminal Ruby Tracks CD
