Took the suspension off?

Actually, my first thought when I saw what happened was that they might as well just unbolt the inner ends of the suspension wishbones and auction the whole lot as a collector's item.

On Merc protesting the wing front, if it was the other way around Horner would be in every media out let he could crying and whining that if not fair they're not winning.

I see that theres a Russian journalist now saying that Russel has signed with Mercedes for 2 years. Think this is the first time I've actually heard it rather than a rumour although the guy could just be stating speculation as fact

If Mercedes haven't announced it, it's just speculation.

Ferrari look to be quick again, Ricciardo was faster in first practice than Norris.

Oh and Mazepin has yet another Russian Revolution to his name. He's revolved once again by the looks of things.

Hmmm - 4 flexi-wing cars at the front - Merc down in 7th...

...bet Mercedes are busy writing that letter to the stewards! 🙂

Wasn’t that Tsunoda? rather than Mazepin?

It was but the commentators picked up on it and mentioned a few drivers doing the same.

Are Merc sandbagging?

Because if they aren't they appear to have the worst PU on the grid

No, that wouldn't achieve anything. They will be focusing on getting data to figure out how to set up for qualifying and the race, not headline times, but being that far off the pace is not part of their plan. Friday times don't really mean much though, I'd be surprised if both Mercs weren't in the top six in qualifying. I'd bet even money on at least one Merc being on the front row of the grid.

Several drivers won’t believe their luck there, good and bad!

On being interviewed about his pole lap, Charles Leclerc ‘It was quite a shit lap actually!’

Just seen Leclercs lap, definitely a couple of tenths left on the table. Race should be spicy!

Lucky Sainz didn't run into Tsunoda

I agree Leclerc had a lot more to give, disappointed with Verstappen's response is he cracking under the pressure.

I think the tyres aren't good enough are they? same tyre for Stroll and Verstappen wasn't it? Fell gutted for Max and Red Bull, robbed of a 1-2.

Two left rear blowouts in the race - lucky neither driver injured. Pirelli seem to have got their new softer hard compound wrong.

Well, I’m a Hamilton fan but in the interest of racing if that’s a manufacturer failure I feel for Max there.
