I need to have a column that will have a "total" box, and be the sum of the figures above it. I do this when I'm updating my books, and it always works fine, but today in a different file, I'm doing = then clicking all the boxes that I want to be included in the total (with plusses in between), and I'm just getting "hashVALUE" after I've pressed return.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Have you got some numbers formatted as text rather than numbers?
as above - non-numbered format or text content in the column somwhere
