I'm translating an Excel spread sheet into Javascript as part of a web tool I'm working on but I've come across something I am unfamiliar with. Can anyone tell me what "^2" or "^3" does as part of an equation in Excel?

I think it means to the power of X, but just want to be sure before I do it.

Thanks

to the power of eg 2^2 is 2 to the power of 2 eg 2 squared (2x2) and 2^3 is 2x2x2
