What a crappy website. The biggest economy in the world and one of the most high tech, and this is the best they can do? It's an embarrassment.

Yeah the bits of paper were free.

Type in all your details to see if yours is still active. No, it's expired. Go back to the main page and type in your bloody details AGAIN.

It's 1998 again is it?

It is a crappy website. But it is only £14 for two years. But then you also still need to give pretty much all the details each time you book an airline ticket. But it's supposed to save time in immigration. But it doesn't.

I don't think it fulfills any real need. But it does give the US a nice source of electronic data on people coming into the country - and - they get to charge us for the privelige....

the charge is also to get an extra bit of information to cross reference (especially if your name/passport# change between visits).
credit card only i think, rather than intentionally revenue raising?
fortunately the last time I did this was just before it was compulsory online.

so who actually looked up the word "turpitude" to find out what it actually means?

I know what it means, cos apparently if you are a teacher the only thing you can be summarily sacked for is 'gross moral turpitude'.
