I'm just back from Edinburgh after a weekend on the lash there (start 8am on the train, finished 3am in Whistlebinkies - my liver is still processing it)

Say hi to Fred for me.

Get TJ in there!

Definition of Critical Mass seems relevant.

"The minimum amount of facile material needed to start or maintain a nuclear reaction"

Many years ago they met for a few pints in Leith, The Malt and Hops I believe.
However after TJ was banned from here he fell out with Fred for arguing to much with his Facebook friends and banned Fred from his Facebook. Quiet ironic.

He's not the only one. 🙂

(In fairness, to stretch the oft used pub metaphor, what Fred does on your Facebook page is akin to coming to your house party and spouting off constantly...much harder to ignore than threads here.)

Just seen two police cars and an ambulance on my drive to the Commie Pool. It can't have kicked off already can it?

I'm curious as to the language barrier.

Initially I expect it to start off with hand signals and shouting, then nods and winks, descend after a few pints to smirks and smiles and the occasional vowel recognition, then one more beer before total understanding and conversation ensues, proper.

Have fun, post pics.

😆

Is he any more capable of listening to someone else's point of view in real life? 🙂

I've not met TJ, but I have met Fred for a pint.
He was perfectly sound and we had a good banter.

The Guildford Arms, absolutely cracking pub.
Plus the added bonus of trying to deal with a revolving pub door after one too many Old Jocks, or Caley 80/-, or Ptarmigan etc etc.
