Is there a way of setting the finish time. I've got quite a few things to sell and I want them all to finish Sunday evening, 10 day auction. Am I limited to posting the ad on Thursday evening? Can I post before and set a delay? Failing that can I save some time on Thursday evening? Getting pics uploaded, text ready to cut and paste?

You can set a start time, so yes.

As above, but it costs about 20p per listing to alter the finish time. If your going to do it, think about setting the listing to finish at a time that is likely to see a large amount of viewers suffering from alcohol symptoms!

I say think about what you are selling and set the finish times accordingly - some things are best sold at a time as mick says above, others are better sold at different times.

For example we just sold a highchair. Someone sold an identical one to us - same condition, very similar listing. They had theirs finish at 5pm and got £12. We sold ours with a 9.30pm finish time and got £25. The way I looked at it, people with little kids won't have time to be bidding in the daytime, will be tucked up asleep by 10.30pm through exhaustion so 9.30 was ideal - time for them to finish their chores and sit down to bid without distractions.

Download ebay turbo lister , set all your auctions up then upload when ready. I find it's much easier than doing one listing at a time.

Thanks chaps. Must have missed the set start time option. Shall have a look at turbo lister, too.
