I need to study in the evening, but there is a lot of noise around me.
So, to block out the noise (mainly TV, and I have option but to let it run, and there is no-where else for me to go) would earplugs be good (which ones) or investing in noise canceling ear phones (I have no idea how they work)

don't bother with noise cancelling phones IMO - very spendy!
good plugs correctly inserted make a massive difference.

Foam/wax earplugs work way better IMO.
Record some white noise. Listen to that. You'll soon block everything else out.

Noisex foam ear plugs from chemist/motorcycle/safety shop.
Try the pink shaped ones and the green straight ones for fit, they do differ.

where can I get white noise from ? 😀
Custom plugs also 'sounds' good, as I have trouble keeping plugs in my ears (normally have to have the ones that loop over my backs of my ears)
