I need to recommend some DVD copying software so a friend can copy a video dvd of a party. A Mac didn't work properly but some freebie software off the internet worked, 'AVS DVD'copy'. It's $39 for a full licence so not very cheap. Can anyone recommend an alternative to produce 20 copies?

I second DVD shrink 3.2. Great for, erm.. backing up DVD's.

For simple disc to disc copying http://www.imgburn.com/ is pretty decent
