I don't know about selective reporting, this all makes a lot of sense; carbon levels going up, despite attempt to lower emissions, meanwhile vast areas of forest are being cleared, and burned, in order to grow palm trees to produce oil to put into cars. Or to build roads, or put ever larger industrial estates on.
Etc, etc...
