Does anyone know of a site(s) that shows or compares the prices for domestic oils for heating etc.

We currently use callow oils, any others ?

Cheers

I used to be an oil rep for British Fuels (now CPL I think). The best way is the most obvious, yellow pages, phone round for the best price on the day. Cash on delivery will get you a better price than on 30 day account. As the oil price is falling right now, then leave it as long as you dare. The larger quantity you order the better price you get, so run the tank low. It's always worth having a quick phone round each time, because each company will have budgets to work to and will adjust the price according to how well/badly they are doing that week or month. So one week they may be expensive and another week they may be cheapest. also it will depend on what price they are getting from their supplier that week.

Phone them all for the best price, it's just a commodity, they're selling you exactly the same product.

When I was in the industry, each company oil depot round the country had it's own depot manager who decided the prices on the day dependent on a number of factors, so any online price comparison charts are likely to be a very very rough guide.
