We will be in touch
We're selling our share of freehold Victorian flat and have been told we need an asbestos survey to the common parts - basically a 3m x 1m entrance hall. Anyone have any experience of this? It's in SE London if it makes any difference.
Anyone?
I can't recommend anyone local to you, but asbestos surveyors are relatively cheap.
The last one I had commissioned for a commercial property was £200 plus VAT and it took a few hours, but that was for multiple rooms and tested wall, floor and ceiling tiles, lagging and other plant room equipment.
You are probably best sticking 'Asbestos Survey' into google maps and getting quotes from a few local outfits.
Estate Agent is probably on a backhander from a local firm so ask them?
[edit] sorry, 'referral fee'
Not sure what it will cost but give ESG a ring 01283 554400 and ask to speak to someone in the asbestos division - they will be able to tell you what you need to do to get a certificate
asbestos survey your having a laugh.. who told you you needed it?
I just read this as Domestic Abuse Survey clicked on it thinking what an odd thread title. Got even more confused when you started talking about selling a flat.
I think its time for a coffee.
