Bought some today. It will be consumed atop rice crackers with a light dusting of freshly ground pepper.

I miss pizza.

No, you're thinking of leek and potato soup.

Yes, all the time. It's a big thing in central europe. The rank salted low fat lumpy stuff we get in the UK is a poor imitation of cottage cheese. The good stuff comes in a block, has a decent % fat and is great on its own or with sweet or savoury things.

Edit: the lumpy stuff we get is related to cottage cheese in a similar way Kraft cheese slices are to proper mature cheddar.

Yes, on jacket spuds and in Lasagne instead of bechemel sauce - much nicer.

What exactly is in cottage cheese? It tastes like vomit.

You're a residue.

Cottage Cheese and Blackcurrant Jam, on heavily buttered thick white bread.

Often have it as a low carb meal before I go to bed. Cottage cheese is high in Micellar Casein protein, a slow release protein that "drip feeds" into your muscles overnight. Alright it's pretty rank on its own so I always mix it with some peanut butter (healthy fats) and a scoop of flavoured protein powder for an extra kick of protein and to make it more palatable. Sounds horrible but it's really nice 🙂

After overdosing on cottage cheese and tuna last year - cant stand the sight of it...

Mixed it with some ruhbarb and cream whey powder on one occasion - totally gagging.

But tbh if your doin the muscle thing and cant stand chicken youve got got to have a few options 🙁

Cottage cheese and pineapple is my go to option to put off any late night junk food cravings. Good source of slow release protein I'm told.

Yep, on jacket potatoes with lots of salt and pepper. It's not bad actually, pretty tasty and reasonably healthy.

The production process is interesting, too. Basically milked out of the skin of middle-aged men.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHH that is some bad bad backpuss

I knead it together with rice cakes and tofu and then throw it a mangy dog. Then I go and have a pie.

On toasted muffins it's awesome.

Just found out it's delicious on top of my porridge (porridge with thinly sliced banana stired in, then a dollop of cold cottage cheese on top).

Must buy good the stuff though, Langley Farm's is fantastic but the mainstream supermarkets stuff is appalling. Lidl do a good one too.

Cottage cheese and bacon with Brown sauce in a wrap/pita mmmmmmmmm

Arla, are they the company pushing Skyr, if so thank her from me as we were looking for it in this country since we went to Iceland in 2013?

Langley Farm's is fantastic
That's the best one.
I buy it and pop in my home grown chopped chives.
It's really good for you.
