Our posh dock takes my iPod and wife's iPhone 4. My iPad mini doesn't fit whereas our big one does.
Have seen charging converters but even if it worked on the dock the charge tab would snap.
I can use a wire and plug it in but the sound quality is rubbish.
There must be some sort of gubbins or are all the world's docks going to be obsolete soon?
Ps do new iPod touches have the old connectors?
All apple products now come with a smaller lightening connector.
Or you can buy an 8 pin lightening to 30 pin adaptor cable, this will put no strain on the connections.

you can buy a 30 pin socket bluetooth adaptor which connects to the docking station. so its wireless.
